Good morning all! Welcome to August!

I’m trying new things on my blog from this point forward. So each day there will be a different ‘feature’, as well as a couple days off a week too. Summer has been wonderful and it has me in the mood to try new and fresh concepts!

Can you believe we are over half way through 2015? Time is flying by like feathers in the sky and there’s no way to slow it down. My kids are growing in leaps and bounds. My oldest is headed for year two of nursing school. Son #1 is heading into grade 11 & Son #2 is into grade 8. I’m not sure how to handle all this getting older … them not me, of course! LOL

Okay, so what’s ahead?

Book News this week — I am aiming to finish my current WIP. It’s an older woman/younger man premise and I really love the characters. Leah & Justice are dynamite together. Their history gave me a lot to build on, plus they have chemistry abound!!   This one has taken a bit longer than I thought it would. I struggle with usually the first 3-4 chapters of a story. Getting the build-up right, not rushing, not including too much backstory. I’m really excited about the story, the inspiration behind it. And when I write “The end” I’ll be even more excited. *g*

I received word from Evernight Publishing that my next release will be on August 26^th!!! Fighting for Honor is my first SHIFTER story. Cats specifically – a panther & a Siberian tiger. It was a lot of fun writing this story, and probably the quickest one I’ve written in a very long time! The story simply poured out of me and I can’t wait to hear back from readers about it. I also hope to have a cover soon. Once I do, you know I’ll share!

Movie Mention this week – Armageddon! Watched it over the weekend and love it every time I watch. Some far-fetched moments but how can I not love to watch a movie with Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck in it, and looking mighty fine in their younger years. *g* Plus music by Aerosmith – enough said!!

Reading Mention this week – I read a story for critique purposes, and it was wonderful!! It’s not in its complete stages as yet, but once the book does go live, I’ll post about it on my site!

Personal fun this week – I plan to spend Friday with Son #2. We’re doing lunch, shopping at his fave gaming store, and going bowling. It’s been years since I’ve bowled, but I’m sure it’s like riding a bike, right? I hope! I’ll tell you about it on my next “writer happenings” post!!
