Good morning all!

I hope everyone had a great week.

Personally it was productive for me. Went through a huge fall cleaning of our bedroom. Who knew the filing cabinet could hold so much paper! I think there were unnecessary paperwork in it that had been there over a year. I have to remind myself every 3-6 mths now to clean that out. We all get so busy and throw filing in a drawer and forget about it. I went through all my children’s old crafts and gifts for the hubby & I through the years. Boy is there a lot of it! But I filled a tote. Will be nice to pull it out one day when they are all grown and with families of their own and they can reminisce about the “old days”. *g*

Movie Mention this week – We watched Unfriended last week. OMG. I think the nearly 2 hours of it sucked out my brain cells. I don’t know why I ended up finishing it, but it is NOT a movie I would recommend. Hard on my eyes too! There was no resolution IMO and while the story of it could have been better, I do believe cyber bullying is a major crime nowadays but this movie did nothing to help the cause at all.

Reading Mention this week — I’m in the middle of LETHAL by Sandra Brown. I love this author immensely, and this book is so good. I have trouble putting it down!

Good morning all! Happy Labour Day Weekend!!

I hope everyone’s having a fabulous weekend!

My kids start back to school tomorrow. My daughter is a 2nd year college student studying to be an RN. Oldest son is heading into grade 11 and youngest boy is heading into grade 8. Where does the time go? I’m so not ready for this!

Good morning all! Happy Monday!

Can you believe September arrives tomorrow!!?? I’m not ready to think about really cold temperatures or that dreaded S word that makes everything white. I’m just not ready.

It’s been a manic week. My kids start back to school a week from tomorrow and the last minute check list is done and everything is organized. I have a feeling we’ve missed something though and the first day back will be when we realize we have.

Thanks to being sick over this past weekend, things are crazy for today. Lots of things to catch up on. And this week is nuts as my Son #1 heads back to full length football practices and he’s also on the leadership team so I will be Chauffeur Mom quite a bit this week. But I’m so proud of him for being on the leadership team, helping those new kids coming into grade 9 and helping them through the first few months of high school.

Okay, so what’s ahead?

Book News this week — The WIP is shaping up very nicely. Almost finished!! I’m looking forward to writing The End on this one. I have a wolf shifter I want to write next!!

My Latest Release: FIGHTING FOR HONOR released last week and it’s doing well on Amazon etc. I was thrilled find out yesterday that it was a STAFF PICK from Lori at All Romance Ebooks, and has received a Silver Star as well, for a bestselling status. Movie Mention this week – While I was sick over the weekend, I did a marathon with the ROCKY movies. Not # 6 — Sylvester should never have made that one — but the first 5 were awesome to watch all over again. Brought back memories of my Dad as well, they were some of his fave movies.

Reading Mention this week – I have to recommend WHAT LOLA WANTS by JoAnne Kenrick. I read it through many stages of the process, JoAnne did many editions/revisions of the story and it released this past week. It’s a fabulous and fun story that warms the heart. Be sure to check it out — HERE.

Good morning all! Happy Monday!

It’s a heat wave again!! Ontario is being slammed with huge temps, nearing 40 degrees Celsius. I’m melting and it’s not pretty!

Okay, so what’s ahead?

Book News this week — The WIP is shaping up nicely. I wrote almost 4k into the story. And have about another dozen pages hand written that I need to type up. It’s coming along at its own pace and sometimes writing is like that. My Muse doesn’t like this heat blast either!!

Book News this week — FIGHTING FOR HONOR has received it’s cover!! The talented Jay Aheer totally left me breathless and very, very happy with her capturing the essence of the story. I’m over the moon with this spectacular cover!

My Latest Release: Stirring Up Dirty – Contemporary Erotic Romance. Learn more about that story, HERE. It’s received some great reviews already!

I’m also very honored to have made — well Gavin & Guarding Midnight — have made it to the Final 16 in the “Sex Scene Championship” at Scorching Book Reviews this year. I’m up again tomorrow (Aug 18th) for the next round of voting!!

Movie Mention this week – I shed some tears this past weekend. I watched an oldie, The Skulls, which featured Joshua Jackson, William Peterson and my beloved, Paul Walker. I have a hard time knowing he is gone. I was very much attached to him, his acting, and the family bonding we all did in my house over the Fast & Furious Franchise. The Skulls (the first one — the 2nd and 3rd are blech) is a good movie, and showcased the young talent of up and comers like Joshua and Paul.

Reading Mention this week – I didn’t get a chance to read anything but my own WIP this past week! I hope this coming week I’ll get to take a break and indulge in something fabulous.

Personal fun this week – I’m heading to Grandpa’s today, to spend a bit of time on the water outside his back door with my son. Taking my notebook as well to get a bit of writing in while son is perfecting his kayaking skills. Mom first, then author time.

Good morning all!

It’s been a crazy hectic week for me. Only about 1000 words added to Work in Progress. We are setting up to get another batch of meat chickens, so had to finish cleaning up everything out in the coop, grab some more feed and shavings from the store, and get everything spiffy for the newcomers that will arrive this Thurs.

Took my son bowling Friday, as I mentioned in last week’s post. We did 10 pin, which I’ve rarely ever done. We were dreadful for the first 5 frames at least, in the first game, but improved. Out of 3 games, he kicked my butt twice.

Plus it was my nephew’s fourth birthday so there was a lot of prep for that. Check out this pic of his birthday cake! It turned out fabulous!!

I am still aiming to finish my current WIP. It’s an older woman/younger man premise and I really love the characters. They are giving me a run for my money with hitting bumps every so often.

AND I’m happy to say that I’ve seen the mock up cover for Fighting for Honor. Cannot wait to share it! It left me breathless!!!! Cover reveal coming soon!!!

Movie Mention this week – Watched Insurgent over the weekend. Was okay, loved seeing Theo James of course!!, but I found the pace of it was much slower than the 1st movie. And I’m not a fan of Kate Winslet in this role as the bad chick. I felt she played the role one dimensional. The movie was just Meh for me.

Reading Mention this week – I finished up The Collector by Nora Roberts. Very intense book. Loved it!!

Personal fun this week – Chickens arrive this Thursday so it will be nice to have the babies around again. Kiddo and I plan to take at least one day a week and go bowling. He wants to do mini golf but I’m too scared … never done it. He’ll definitely kick my butt again for sure!! I am not super athletic, *snort* so I need something I can at least win. Oh well, it’s fun trying!

Good morning all! Welcome to August!

I’m trying new things on my blog from this point forward. So each day there will be a different ‘feature’, as well as a couple days off a week too. Summer has been wonderful and it has me in the mood to try new and fresh concepts!

Can you believe we are over half way through 2015? Time is flying by like feathers in the sky and there’s no way to slow it down. My kids are growing in leaps and bounds. My oldest is headed for year two of nursing school. Son #1 is heading into grade 11 & Son #2 is into grade 8. I’m not sure how to handle all this getting older … them not me, of course! LOL

Okay, so what’s ahead?

Book News this week — I am aiming to finish my current WIP. It’s an older woman/younger man premise and I really love the characters. Leah & Justice are dynamite together. Their history gave me a lot to build on, plus they have chemistry abound!! This one has taken a bit longer than I thought it would. I struggle with usually the first 3-4 chapters of a story. Getting the build-up right, not rushing, not including too much backstory. I’m really excited about the story, the inspiration behind it. And when I write “The end” I’ll be even more excited. *g*

I received word from Evernight Publishing that my next release will be on August 26^th!!! Fighting for Honor is my first SHIFTER story. Cats specifically – a panther & a Siberian tiger. It was a lot of fun writing this story, and probably the quickest one I’ve written in a very long time! The story simply poured out of me and I can’t wait to hear back from readers about it. I also hope to have a cover soon. Once I do, you know I’ll share!

Movie Mention this week – Armageddon! Watched it over the weekend and love it every time I watch. Some far-fetched moments but how can I not love to watch a movie with Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck in it, and looking mighty fine in their younger years. *g* Plus music by Aerosmith – enough said!!

Reading Mention this week – I read a story for critique purposes, and it was wonderful!! It’s not in its complete stages as yet, but once the book does go live, I’ll post about it on my site!

Personal fun this week – I plan to spend Friday with Son #2. We’re doing lunch, shopping at his fave gaming store, and going bowling. It’s been years since I’ve bowled, but I’m sure it’s like riding a bike, right? I hope! I’ll tell you about it on my next “writer happenings” post!!
