Good morning all!

It’s been a crazy hectic week for me. Only about 1000 words added to Work in Progress. We are setting up to get another batch of meat chickens, so had to finish cleaning up everything out in the coop, grab some more feed and shavings from the store, and get everything spiffy for the newcomers that will arrive this Thurs.

Took my son bowling Friday, as I mentioned in last week’s post. We did 10 pin, which I’ve rarely ever done. We were dreadful for the first 5 frames at least, in the first game, but improved. Out of 3 games, he kicked my butt twice.

Plus it was my nephew’s fourth birthday so there was a lot of prep for that. Check out this pic of his birthday cake! It turned out fabulous!!

I am still aiming to finish my current WIP. It’s an older woman/younger man premise and I really love the characters. They are giving me a run for my money with hitting bumps every so often.

Movie Mention this week – Watched Insurgent over the weekend. Was okay, loved seeing Theo James of course!!, but I found the pace of it was much slower than the 1st movie. And I’m not a fan of Kate Winslet in this role as the bad chick. I felt she played the role one dimensional. The movie was just Meh for me.

Reading Mention this week – I finished up The Collector by Nora Roberts. Very intense book. Loved it!!

Personal fun this week – Chickens arrive this Thursday so it will be nice to have the babies around again. Kiddo and I plan to take at least one day a week and go bowling. He wants to do mini golf but I’m too scared … never done it. He’ll definitely kick my butt again for sure!! I am not super athletic, *snort* so I need something I can at least win. Oh well, it’s fun trying!
